Join thousands of Canadians taking on quirky and creative green challenges that pledge a special action for nature. Choose a fun activity, decide how long you’re going to do it and get donors to bring your challenge to life.

Here are some great challenge ideas to get you started:

  • Bike to work or school for a month
  • Eat only sustainably sourced food for a week
  • Pick up 30 pieces of litter each day for 30 days

The possibilities are endless.

When you create your own green challenge, you’re supporting a healthy planet for us all. Encourage your friends, family, coworkers and members of your community to make a donation in support of your green challenge. Or dare them to join your challenge as teammates.

Green challenge ideas

Scrap the car

Create your fundraising page and commit to commuting by transit, pedal power or on foot for a week, month or even a year. The more you raise the longer you’ll go.

Bring back the bees

Challenge your neighbours to join you in planting a pollinator-friendly garden. The more money you raise, the more habitat-friendly plants or wildflowers you’ll plant in your yard or on your balcony.

Eat green

Commit to eating vegetarian, local, sustainable, vegan or organic. The more you raise on your fundraising page, the longer you’ll eat green.

Reduce your energy footprint

Challenge your community to reduce their energy footprint. See who can conserve the most energy and raise the most money for WWF-Canada.

Go vintage

Switch from superstores to second-hand stores. Reduce your consumer footprint by donning vintage styles, buying reclaimed furniture or new-to-you household items. The more you raise, the longer you’ll agree to go vintage.
